Happy Dictionary Day!

Dictionary Day blog header

October 16 is Dictionary Day and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate as true supporters of letters, the alphabet, and alphabet knowledge! We know that good handwriting and writing success begins with correct letter formation and explicit alphabet knowledge, and Dictionary Day is the perfect holiday to express the importance of words.

Want to expand your students’ knowledge of words in the dictionary? Use our Sound Around Box™ to teach language concepts, social skills, rhymes, sounds, and syllables. Explore oral language, vocabulary, and other literacy skills with Word Time! Plus, model correct letter formation and build word knowledge with our Double Line Sentence Strips.

Although Dictionary Day may not get a lot of attention as a holiday, you can still celebrate with us by building your students’ foundation skills, vocabulary, and alphabet knowledge.
